Dirty Outs in PLO
Draw cards that appear to improve you but can make a second-best straight, flush, or full house.

What it means at the table
Dirty outs are cards that improve your hand but may also make someone else a better hand.
Why it matters
Raw out counts overstate equity when some cards complete higher straights, flushes, or full houses.
Decision checkpoint
Ask this before money goes in
Table question
If this card improves me, what stronger hand can it make for someone else?
Rule of thumb
Discount outs that complete flushes, higher straights, paired-board boats, or better redraws.
Table example
A spade that completes your straight can still be dirty if it also completes an opponent's flush.
Leak to avoid
Treating every card that improves you as a clean stack-off card.
