Nuts & Redraws
Freeroll in PLO
A spot where two players share the current made hand, but one player has extra redraws to win the whole pot.

What it means at the table
A freeroll happens when you cannot lose the current showdown but can still improve past someone with the same hand.
Why it matters
Freerolls are a major reason naked nut hands underperform in deep PLO pots.
Decision checkpoint
Ask this before money goes in
Table question
If we share the current nuts, who has the redraws to win the whole pot?
Rule of thumb
Do not pay full price to tie when villain can improve and you cannot.
Table example
Both players have A-K on Qs-Js-Tc, but one also has As-Ks for the nut-spade redraw while the other has no flush redraw.
Leak to avoid
Calling off with the same current nuts but no redraws when villain's range has many freeroll versions.
